Kathleen Moran is a lifelong writer with a deep passion for storytelling. She holds a B.A. in English from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia and pursued postgraduate studies in Counseling at Villanova University. Her professional career includes work as a writer and editor for major organizations such as Data General Corporation, the DuPont Corporation, Cable News Affiliates, and the Kennedy-Donovan Centers. She has authored numerous handbooks, “how-to” guides, national newsletters, and computer-based training courses, and has taught at Immaculata University’s Institute for Lifelong Learning.
Writing has always been central to Kathleen’s life—reading and writing are her greatest joys. Her debut novel, The Land of My Tomorrows, was inspired by a visit to Galway, Ireland, where the idea for a powerful historical saga first took root. The story is set in the 1840s, during Ireland’s devastating potato famine, and follows one family and an orphaned boy as they journey to America in search of survival and hope.
This is not just a tale of immigration—it’s a story of resilience, faith, and the enduring strength of human spirit. It touches on key moments in history including the Civil War, the Underground Railroad, and the Industrial Revolution, while celebrating the grace found in family and the courage to lift others up.
